Ramanlal holds a BS in Physics and PhDs in Theoretical Physics and Business Administration from University of Michigan. Before joining UCF's College of Business Administration, he was an assistant professor of financial at the University of South Carolina.

Ramanlal has received numerous honors and awards and his works have been published in Journal of Financial Economics, Business and Economic Review, International Journal of Electronic Commerce. Dr. Ramanlal has presented papers to the Midwest Finance Association (Chicago), Financial Management Association, Financial Management Association, and many others.
