Tavis works collaboratively with fundamental research analysts to identify key investment themes that may often cross sectors, teams, regions and asset classes – providing timely investment ideas to our clients, particularly in the small- and mid-cap space. McCourt focuses on thematic, market and macro-oriented research in his current role.

McCourt returned to Raymond James in March 2019, after having spent the past year as an investment analyst with 12th Street Asset Management in Nashville, Tennessee, and prior to that he spent more than 20 years as a senior equity research analyst covering communications technology stocks, first with Morgan Keegan, then with Raymond James, when the firm acquired Morgan Keegan.

He holds a BA in Business Administration from Villanova University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University, where he was the Founder's Medalist. McCourt, who holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
